Constantly texting my phone trying to give me an insurance quote calling me by a different first name which they shouldn’t know my name at all but do not have my name right, so I feel like they are trying to get me on the phone for a reason. I have blocked the number several times but somehow it gets through. The txt are coming at all times of the day and night. Do not know what else to do! I have tried to keep a close eye on all my accounts but I do everything on my phone it is becoming very difficult.

Got the first call and the woman identified herself with her name and that she was with Auto Insurance then asked if I can hear her clearly.

Before thinking I said Yes. Then the phone hung up after I said yes. Thinking this might be in response to an accident I had a few days earlier so I called the number back and the same person answered with the same response asking if I could hear her clearly. My response was I could hear her. She then went into a auto insurance sales pitch and I hung up on that one.

The second one today also identified herself and added she was with Medicare and asked the same thing "can you hear me clearly?"

This time I asked why do I need medicare? She repeated her name and company and asked again can you hear me clearly. I hung up on the repeat question.

I received a call today on my home phone from a man named Mike who shared that he was calling from my insurance company and he could get me a better rate on my automobile insurance and I just needed to give him my credit card to lock in the rate. I immediately hung up on him, but am concerned for those that are on home seclusion that might play into this.

Said there was a new auto law that lowered insurance then said they just had a few questions to see if I qualified. Asked if I had auto insurance. I said yes. They then hung up.

I asked how they knew what I am currently paying. They replied "we actually sent in a request a while ago".

I asked "Sent in a response to who?"

They hung up.

They said they were wanting to give me an auto insurance quote. I had recently looked on line for some quotes so was unaware of any problem..

She asked all the usual question, vehicle makes and years etc. which seemed fine. Later she said insurance agents would be calling me to give me quotes did I agree to this and I said yes. She said I did not here that what did you say and I said yes again. She said is that correct did you say yes. Then I released that I had fallen for the scam. No phone number recorded because it was my home home. When I redialed it did not work.

The person started telling me that the call was about my Auto Insurance Premium and about the new laws that enabled people in NC to get lower cost auto insurance. Then asked if I currently had auto insurance. I answered "Yes and I'm not interested in switching insurance". The person immediately hung up. I think this may have been a scam to record me saying Yes.
