I just received a text from the person and after I responded I checked my emails to see if when I applied to this place. Nothing in my email mentioned Asteroid Marketing

I have been submitting applications online for a few weeks. On LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed. Somehow these people obtained my information. I can’t see where I ever applied for any positions with them. Mandi Valentino in “HR” has reach out to me several times over the past week via email and text. After a preliminary investigation I discovered the company could possibly be a front. I attempted to clarify in my reply to Mandi whether or not the role for which they were attempting to interview me was paid.

I replied to the texts and emails they sent. The response to my query came swiftly from Edward Pei the “Director”. Stating that the position is “paid” and “on-site” and asking if that would work for me. I have replied asking for further salary range clarification. I don’t expect to receive a reply, because there are a myriad of complaints of fraudulence against Edward representing various iterations of this assumed schemed.

It’s a bad vibe, and I wish LinkedIn and the other job sites didn’t have such a **** ** mining customer data. Otherwise they would have a better handle on the amount of scammers I see blatantly conducting diversion from achieving gainful employment.

Companies need good people and people need jobs. Not games.

Received “Final Notice” letter in the mail, see image below. I did not respond as no company name was given, checked the given phone number via google. A scam was indicated. Aug 14, 2026
