A few months ago I responded to one of those "going out of business" ads and put way too many pretty items in my cart. When I tried to check out, for some reason the sale prices and the discounts made my order end up being free. I went ahead and processed it but got a message from them saying there was a technical error and to please re-do my order. Thankfully by that time I had "cooled down" and decided I didn't need anything. I just went back to see if there was any inventory left (what a scam, I see now!) and they have changed their name to "Native Jewelers"...I'm sure just trying to run away from their terrible reputation under the other name. I got suspicious as I browsed the site because the wording is just a little too perfect. The testimonials are so great that they sound fake. I mean, look at this...text below every item, yet they're supposedly selling a $40 item for $5? Also, I guess I'm okay with jewelry being made of stainless steel, but how is some of it gold-colored?

I finally realized my emotions were being manipulated. It's all just too good to be true. I had never googled an online retailer to see if it was a scam, but I did this time and thankfully this site popped up right away. It's a shame, because there are some lovely items in the photos that I would love to have.

Oh my goodness...I just did a Google image search for one of the rings I liked, and guess where it showed up! Temu...for $1.34. Lots of other items look similar or the same if you search for "mountains trees necklace" and similar keywords. So the other site is just sourcing and reselling for a few dollars more. I did an image search for the gold necklace with two birds on a branch, and it came up at Alibaba but also other sites where they are reselling it for $30. Well, that's enough research, but I guess the bottom line is that if you see something you like at Native Jewelers, you can probably find it cheaper at Temu or a similar site. And your credit card won't be charged again for an ongoing "membership."

I bought two necklaces from their advertised 'Going out of business' sale to find later, that they aren't going out of business. It's just their false advertising. Then several months later they tried to charge me a $22.95 membership fee which my bank caught as a fraudulent charge. Glad they did because I never agreed to or signed up for any monthly membership with this company...and why would I if they were going out of business like their ad said? Then again several months later, they tried to charge me again. I even changed my credit card number so I have no idea how they could've even charged my new card. Reported it as fraud to my cc company and emailed the company to stop charging me. What a SCAM company.

Total scam! Ordered product and they sent a sob story about how they are going out of business and can’t ship my order to me.

They lure you in with constant “Collection Closing” deals that seem to good to be true - because they are! The fine print is that they sign up for ongoing monthly payments. Soooo shady. I’m so frustrated I fell for this. I did receive the items I purchased, but of course will NEVER order from them again and am hoping I am finally rid of them. Never heard back from my emails, of course.

THEY FIRST SEND A FIRST ORDER BUT CONTINUE CHARGING AMOUNTS ON YOUR CC EVERY MONTH AFTER THAT WITHOUT YOU KNOWING. CHECK YOUR CC BILL AND BEWARE. I HAD TO FINALLY CANCEL MINE.

I think many people are confusing two companies here. The company that is scamming people is called Aspens Jewelers located in PA and is backed by DiNapoli Consulting LLC. Both have poor ratings. The Aspen Jewelry is a CO company and has nothing to do with the one on FB as many are noting the Closing Collection Sale of 75% off. You will get your items ordered, a little slow however beware they continue to charge $22.95 for a membership when you click a small box. Read terms and service page (if you can it is junk) that supposedly says you are agreeing to a membership? No where can I find that actually stated. SCAM keep reporting these people it is not as it seems. Too good to be true then it is. I run my own hand crafted jewelry site and I would never do this to a customer. I want my clientele to be happy, share and return to purchase again. So sorry everyone has also experienced these people. Such rats and sure hurts us small independent businesses just trying to do the right thing.

Noticed the Aspens Family/Aspens Jewelry ads on Facebook, placed an order for 10 products (necklaces/earrings, all medallions with mountains, streams, trees, sun) that were "on sale" with part of the price supposedly going toward "forest rehabilitation." A day later I received a confirmation with tracking number -- a number that sat on the USPS system for nearly a month with ZERO movement. Wrote Aspens' support address and asked about the delay, reply arrived days later and I was told that package labels were printed/entered into the shipping system at the time of purchase to "speed up the process." Huh? Was also told that each item was "custom made" and not actually produced until ordered. Again, huh? If an item hasn't even been manufactured yet, why give the customer a shipping tracking number that leads them to believe that their package is on the way? In the same reply, I was also "thanked" for "enrolling" in the Aspens Family subscription "membership" program, for which they intend to bill me $12.95 a month for "access" to future "discounts on their exclusive products making an impact on the world." What? I absolutely DID NOT at any time authorize a continuing CC charge or enroll in anything. Wrote immediately and protested, and I was very clear that they were NOT to charge my CC again. Told them to either send the one-time order of jewelry or cancel the purchase. Started doing additional research, and found the "custom made" statement to be completely false as the exact same items are available through other retail sites; the medallions are mass-produced trinkets. Also found NO credence to the company's environmental charity claims, no reviews by their alleged "100,000+ happy worldwide customers," but NUMEROUS scam reports on consumer sites including the Better Business Bureau. Wrote Aspens Family again and instructed them to totally cancel the order as false pretenses were involved. No reply, but the next day the tracking number FINALLY shows in transit. A couple of days after that I received a small padded envelope with ONE tiny necklace and a "free gift" keychain that I didn't request, no packing slip, no explanation to where the missing items I paid for might be. Wrote Aspens again, reiterated that I wanted the order cancelled based on fraud, and asked for a postage-paid envelope to return the one bauble and the unsolicited keychain. Got an automated response that someone would get back to me with 72 hours. Never happened. Wrote again. Nada. No follow-up items arrived, no further communication, no refund processed. I am now disputing the charge with my CC company AND hoping that I won't need to cancel my CC should they start billing me for their bogus member program monthly.

I unfortunately had this bulltwinkie place mixed up with a legit jewelry design company of similar name on Facebook, and I believe they are capitalizing on that confusion. Aspens Family/Aspens Jewelers professes on their website/FB to originate out of Colorado, but the package return label said, verbatim: Jane 371 Little Falls Road, Ste 4 Cedar Grove NJ 07009
I never could find a phone number or actual street address.
Reported to the BBB and sharing on every consumer site I can find. Heavy sigh.
Scam praying on those who like to buy from eco-friendly vendors

Dang it, I am realizing I am part of the scam too, as my items didn't come, my tracking number showed no movement and just now my credit card was charged a second time without my authorization. Arghhh, thank you for your story so I know now it is a scam I fell into. .

I placed a $100 order in April 2020, but never received goods. I continued to reach out for goods, or refund, kept being told that order is in its way. I eventually forgot about it till now (Jan 22,) I found this page. Does anyone know how to get a refund from these a**holes?

+10

SCAM. I placed an order in April 2020 from a sale I saw run on a facebook ad. NEVER ARRIVED AND NO REFUND ISSUED. Package did not ship until JUNE, tracking info was bad, I didn't get a followup email until SEPTEMBER after I'd repeatedly asked for followup and then a refund, only to be told "it's on it's way soon!" and haven't heard jack since. I have sent a total of 13 emails asking for followup. I don't know how else to get in touch, no number listed.

Absolutely the worst quality ever, definitely not what was advertised and reflect photos. It really looks like the quality that would come out of a quarter (.25) vending machine. Took months to receive, definitely a ripoff of quality jewelry out there, that was obviously made over seas.
You can’t get ahold of anyone and say they don’t take returns anymore due to
“Closing Collection” then look at the terms! Please don’t waste your money and let’s work to get rid of scam artists!

+3

I ordered 2 wind chimes in June and now 5 months later received 2 cheaply made chimes, not what I ordered and not the quality that was pictured.
I sent 2 emails inquiring about my order with no response from them.

+2

I placed order back in May or June 2020. I ordered a Tree Of Life Wind Chime and a gift set. I didn't receive anything...until today. Some stupid metal heavy dangling pine cones and a few copper-like bracelets that can't even fit my wrist! So upset. Want my money back!

+3

I also ordered the tree of life wind chime and they sent me pine cones.
It took 5 months to get this. What a scam.

Placed an order on May 2/20 for two wind chimes. I’ve sent multiple emails requesting a refund if my order can’t be fulfilled, they don’t respond. Today Oct 14/20 (6 months later) I receive an email stating that my order was delivered.
The package only had one wind chime. Total scam. The advertising leads you to believe they are in the USA. The package came from China. They take your money and hope you forget about your order.

Like most of you time went by with no response. They make it impossible to contact them. Finally charged it back on my card and (walla!) I get a shipping confirmation and the jewelry arrived a few days later. In fairness I email them and tell them to go ahead and charge me again as the cc company had already dismissed the charge. No response from Aspens whatsoever. The other day I get a letter from my cc that they have reinstated the charge based on 'evidence' from Aspens. It said that they contacted me on several occasions and even posted about delays on their website, or on a website somewhere no one seems to know about. Those are all lies, they never contacted me. I guess I did recieve the jewelry but only after I forced their hand. Doesnt sit well that they tried to make ME look like the scammer.

Sara,
I was in your shoes (a month and a half with no product) and then charged back my credit card. Aspens responded immediately with a shipment.

My order was $37.15 but it still makes me furious that a company could be so uncaring and unresponsive to response from so many customers. I ordered April 29, 2020, because the shipping was supposed to ship within two weeks. Supposed to ship prior to a trip we were taking at the end of May. I have checked with the post office to see if a package would be forwarded and assured it would be when received. It's now August 16th and the DHL ecommerce number I received on June 17th is totally bogus. I asked for an update at least three separate times and got no response. I also asked for proof of delivery and got no response. I plan to report them as well and contact my bank to reverse my payment. I am truly disappointed because the jewelry was really quite nice looking. DISGUSTED!

+1

I actually saw their ad on facebook and I ordered two bracelets in May.
I just received my order the first week in Aug and I must say that the
bracelets are beautiful. I was afraid this was a scam but as they mention on their
site, the pandemic has affected their shipping times. I am very happy with my order and they let me know via email when it was shipped and included tracking.

+2

This is definitely a scam. They claim they are going out of business and have a sale. I placed a order 4/22l for $20 (i know, I know, I fell for it). I then sent multiple emails to change address or cancel since it never shipped, and I was moving. No Reply. It "shipped" 6/12th. Since July, it's been listed as "forwarded" by DHL shipping since my address changed. Nothing has happened since then, DHL said to get in touch with seller. Aspens does not reply to emails. SCAM

+4

I was afraid this was a scam...same story as everyone else. Purchased $42.35 worth of jewelry from Aspens on April 8th. I followed up on May 14th and received this email: "Your order is coming, we can assure you of that...We're expecting every single order to be out in the next two weeks and our team will continue to push day and night until every order is out the door." I followed up a month later and never received a reply back. It's now July 20th and still nothing. I have finally disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the TLC.
