So this Anthony guy texts my pool service company wanting to find out cost of service, gives me an address and story about moving here due to transfer and needs to know costs ect and how some staff will be here ahead to check things ect. See attached text. I go to house and it’s not vacant nor is there a for sale sign in yard. Poor lady who answered had no clue what I was talking about and I apologized ect let her read texts. Little weasel guy gets nothing but I’m going to report him to police.

I am pretty sure this is a scam I was contacted by a Anthony Johnson from a company that I had applied for on indeed in customer service he contacted me and said that I matched qualifications for the position and that it was a remote position right after that I received a “ offer letter “ I became suspicious since he offered me a position at 870 a week for part time work and without any interview but I went along with it to see how far he would go he then said that his HR dept would be sending me my first weeks pay and that would include additional amount for purchasing office supplies I needed for job and that they had a supplier that I would contact as soon as I got check and that once I paid that supplier I would receive the equipment which he was sending a check for 4870$ and 4K of that was for the supplies I played along again and asked him why is the company not sending the equipment or having me pick it up like all remotej jobs he eluded the question the next day he emailed me that they wanted to send a check thru fed ex again he was going to send a check to me which he had not even obtained any type of hiring information for onboarding etc nothing the company he says he is a recruiter for actually does exist I looked it up and went thru the employee directory and he was not on the list and all the emails for that company have their domain name on them but his email was a gmail account after this i emailed him that I was aware of the scam he was running and pointed out all that was red flag and that I was reporting him there where previously several job post in indeed from this said company now they took them down before I could report then I did notify the legitimate company of what was going on left them a VM since they where gone when I called
