consumer received a call from Clalio Lopez stating he won 5 million dollars and to send $1300 by Money Order to Janie White @12228 Fox Hound Lane, Orlando Florida 32828

Atty David mcquire called to say my 85 year old mother won a 6 million dollar lottery, a 2019 Mercedes, 5000 a week for life and a two week vacation to Barbados. She was to get a cashier check made out to darnely Browne in the amount of $3750 for her part of the taxes as they paid the other 375k due in taxes. She is to fed ex overnight the check to 1392 Sterling place, Brooklyn NY and call him back when she has done so. Her winnings will arrive on 3-18-19 He said not to notify the bank or anyone as this was our own personal business and people would try to take her money.

- Fort Wayne, IN, USA

I had won second prize of 8.5 million, a car, 5 years of insurance from State Farm and 1 year of gas and oil. I had won because I was current on my credit cards at various stores. I was chosen out of 3,650 of seniors to win. I was given a prize number of 7008020US. I spoke to a James C. Micheal. His badge number is 250US. I was to pay $450 at Walmart and provide a registration receipt. I was also supposed to show my drivers license to verify my ID. I was also told that the government was going to pay 9% of the taxes on my winnings.

My mother has dementia and doesn’t understand what these calls are about. A man called the house when I was at work that came up “Unkown” on the caller ID. He told my mother that she had a check coming for 2.5 million dollars and that they just needed her banking information and they would send the check. She told them to call back later. Now I’m home and they called again. Mom told him to talk to me and he didn’t want to. He said he would call back in the morning to get the information. I ended up on the phone with him and he told me the same story. I then told him that I had no idea who he was or what the company was and that he needed to take our name and number off their phone list and hung up on him. He called right back and wanted to know why I hung up. Again I told him I didn’t know who he was and wasn’t interested. He told me his name was Alday Davis, 772-617-3123, American Cash Awards. When I said again to take our name and number off their calling list, he hung up on me. It’s a shame something can’t be done about scam calls.

Got a phone call 1/12/19 from Mark Johnson, American Cash Awards stating we won 8.5 Million dollars and a 2019 Mercedes Benz from filling out a form we got in the mail or filling out a form from a grocery store. I was also told it was a Senior sweepstakes of some sort (as we are past a certain age). I know I did not fill out a form and my husband thinks they're a bunch of bunk, so I know we didn't fill out any forms. He asked if I remembered filling out the form - I said no. He said he wouldn't have the form if it hadn't been filled out and mailed to him. He gave us a winner's number -the first letter was from my first name, second letter was the beginning of my last name and then gave some numbers and ended it with WI then asked me to repeat the winning number. As he hadn't said what the first 2 letters were before the numbers I asked him what name he had on the form. He told me it was my husband's name. He told us we needed to pick up a claim card at Wal-mart, CVS or Walgreens. I asked how it was they had my claim card, but he wasn't quite clear about that. When I said it was in my husband's name he said I could tell him MY name and they can change it and give it to me instead. (I don't think sweepstakes transfer the winner's and didn't give him my name - this didn't please him.) He told me the truck was in my state and could be here this afternoon to give us the certified check. He told me the address they had on file and it was definitely ours. I told him I'd let my husband take care of it, but he wasn't home. He asked where my husband was and I told him he didn't need to know anything other than he wasn't here. He again said I could claim the winnings, but he needed my name to change it from my husband's so the truck could come today. I again declined. He then said he had given me his name and phone number and was open with me and he wanted my husband's cell phone number. I did not give it and he started getting upset with me and asked again where he was. I said he was out of town and he didn't need to know where he was. He told me they wanted to do this today, as the truck with the check was in my state. I told him if we had won that the prize shouldn't go away simply because my husband wasn't going to be home at the time they needed. He got more upset and said he was going to call back when he thought my husband would be home and hung up on me. I knew it was a scam, but I wanted him to give out more information so we could stop him -- but he didn't give me enough information for him to be caught. He did have an accent - not sure I can place it though I asked what we had to do to receive this tremendous prize, he wouldn't say until he got the information he wanted. He didn't get it, so he didn't tell me what else we had to do other than to to the store to pick up our claims card. I'm sure there would have been a cost, but he didn't get that far.

American Cash Awards called me to tell me I was the #1 randomly drawn person and had won $180.000. The lady said her name was Mrs. Taylor and she was the manager. She asked me for either my bank account number or credit card number so they could wire me $2,000. I would then send them $1,500 to cover expenses. My daughter became involved at this point and after talking to them knew it was a scam. They sounded so convincing I almost fell for it.

- North Baltimore, OH, USA

I received a call saying I had won $5.5 million and all I had to do was send them $500 for processing and fees. I told them to send me the check and I would send them the money. He said let me talk to manager and he will call back tomorrow at 11:00. I received no call. The next day I received a voice mail message with the same offer.

Claimed my father won a lottery prize and he needs to wire them money first.

This is David foster from the American cash awards company if you have payed money before and haven't got back your package please feel free to give me a call 16159886454

- Brooklyn, NY, USA

Continued to call saying i won $555,000 award for paying bills on time. They will pay 90% of the taxes and all i pay is $155 UPS charge. I asked Donald Nelson if it could be deducted from my award and he got upset saying your getting a check delivered the 155 is nothing. So i asked it to be made out 554,000 and company can keep the 1,000 for fees....we then got cut off.

- Kingston, OH, USA

An agent from American Cash Awards, John Tanner, called. He said I won 1.8 million dollars, a car and appliances. He asked me if I was married and if I had children. He asked me what I would do with the money. He told me I had to pay a fee because the prize was so large, and there were storage fees on the car and appliances. He said the patrol in NY wouldn't send the money without me paying the fee. I sent him money through Money Gram about 8 times for a total of $2000. I went to Walmart, but when the dollar amount got higher, Walmart said it was a scam and wouldn't let me wire more. So I went to Kroger. John keeps calling saying I am stressing him out because it's my fault he hasn't been able to deliver the prize to me. He was very personal today, asking for my bank info. He wants $300 to get the stamp of approval. So I called my bank, and my bank said it was a scam. I wired money to New York, Jamaica and Canada. I'm on SS Disability and I'm lucky just to pay my bills.

I received a call from the number listed above. I was told that I had won $250,000 and the gentleman who was foreign and very difficult to understand. He told me that he obtained my phone number from the bottom of a Walmart receipt in Williamsfield, OH. There is not one in Williamsfield, there is one in Greenville. He told me that I had to go to Walmart and get a claimant receipt through Western Union for $499.Then I was supposed to call him back with the information. The gentleman also told me that the $250,000 would be tax free. He provided me with a Badge # 870100, as an employee ID. I told him that I was a widow on a fixed income and didn't have $499. He then told me I could make payments and asked when I would have the money. As a ruse I told him I would have the money on October 10th and he said he would call me back. The gentleman said his name was Michael Newberry.

I received a call from someone advising that I won 2.5 million dollars and a black Mercedes-Benz. They advised that they attempted to put the amount of the taxes on my credit card. They ended up paying off my credit card and requested that i get a cash advance from my credit card and send 400.00 at walmart to an off shore account. Correctly im closing on my accounts and have to wait 5 to 7 days to find out where this money came from and they could have paid my credit bill with my own banking account. These people have been calling and texting me for the last past 2 days. I don't know how this is going to turn out, but I would like people to be aware

I received a call from CALLER ID of "Kingston JM 1-876-386-9948" today, August 29, 2018, at 11:53 a.m.

A gentleman named "Micheal Washington from American Cash Awards Sweepstakes Company" called to say that we won an award of $3.5 million and a 2018 Mercedes. The sweepstakes company would be delivering it today to our address. We talked for a little while and I asked questions. I asked him what address was on the award and he stated a P.O. Box 289, which was not our box. I asked what name was on the award and he said Aune Juntenen, who is a relative & she is deceased. "Micheal Washington" proceeded to say there was a sweepstakes check being delivered and he needed to get all the information correct. I eventually declined the award and "Micheal" questioned where to send it if we did not want it. He mentioned a favorite charity to which I replied that Aune had been involved with her church. I asked for his contact information to pass on to her pastor and stated that I would not give him any information about the church. He asked for the name and I stated that I would not give him the name of the church, but I would pass it on to the pastor. The information that "Micheal" gave to me was:

I received a call from someone stating his name was Mr. Paul Snyder with the Claimers Department and I had been selected as a 2nd place winner and had won $1,000,000 courtesy from the CVS Pharmacy and Walmart Store. I also won $50,000 bonus cash that should go to my outstanding credit card bills today. Then he asked me to give him a call at 321-401-5434. When I called him back, same person, he said the same thing as the voicemail message he left (which I still have), but said he was with American Cash Award and gave me Reference #RL92940. He kept reminding me about the $50,000 I would receive for my credit card dept. He then asked what my name was, I told him, and then the name of my bank, which I told him, and he said they would be contacting me when the money has been put in my account with the same Ref. #. He indicated this should take about 25 minutes and then I would receive a call. He then asked me again if I had credit card dept and I said no. Needless to say, the conversation was very short and to the point after that. I did NOT give him any bank numbers or credit card numbers. My mother was listening in on our conversation when I called him back. Let's just say that I have heard nothing, go figure!!!
