Amazon scam 2025

I went to Amazon.com and a pop-up claimed my account was hacked, and locked instructing me to call 1-888-692-9998. The person on the phone asked about my recent purchases, then sent fake confirmation numbers to my phone and email to make me feel secure. They then asked about my computer’s age, what I use it for (banking, email, etc.), and told me to press certain keys. This triggered a remote access request for my computer. At that point, I realized it was a scam and stopped.

Scam postal mail

Seems a scam to sell stuff. If you go on facebook, it leads me to a weird facebook page named "Peter Free" which is kind of weird. Found a few people receiving this postal mail. Sent a message to FB but its so hard tl reach someone. How did they get our postal address? Was Amazon havked? Or someone we bought from sells our home addesses?

So I got an email that stated I was going to be charged $1,149.00. I was freaking out... when I tried the phone number it kept disconnecting the phone call so I looked online and found out that it was a fake invoice

After ignoring this caller multiple times throughout the day I received a voicemail message saying they were a nonprofit recruitment firm who located my resume online &

that Amazon is extending a job offer to me working with their online department, the job duties are to list products & post reviews, the hourly pay rate for this position is $17.00 to $32.00 an hour, & only 32 people were needed for this position. & To sign up at {WebStoreJobs.Org} First of all I don't have a resume online or anywhere else...I'm disabled and I've been on social security disability for 20+years!!!

So telling me they found my resume online was a flashing red light lie, AND they neglected to detail where they located this invisible resume of mine from. Out of curiosity I did some research and found that countless other people had in fact received the same call from the same number & heard the same message. So Yes.... absolutely this is indeed a scammer who needs to be stopped, I have no idea how many people may have fell victim to this scams operation but before anyone else does they need to be stopped and held accountable for their actions.
