Was contacted by a courier service saying they were trying to deliver documents to me but it was to a old address then gave me a phone number and case number then talked to a andre about a debt i supposedly owed from 2016 and if i did not pay it would be turned into the court and lien on my car or home or garnis wages then talked to a jess who sent papers to sign and pay part of debt and to pay rest 24 hours later to stop documents being mailed out

Called and reported there was civil litigation against targeted person from old credit card. Willing to settle for half the initial amount. Stated liens and garnishment would occur if not taken care of immediately.

Initial contact came from a courier service providing phone number and reference number. When I called, it seemed very legitimate with information regarding a past credit card account. I was told they attempted to contact me by mail but was given a different address by the firm than the courier service and this letter was never received. I agreed to settle for the initial amount of the debt but after gathering more information from the person on the phone realized that this was not a legitimate company. They sent me a DocuSign to approve of the settlement charges which I ended up declining after realizing that the address provided was for a virtual office and didn't actually come up in a google search as associated with this "law firm". Also, according to my state's statue of limitations, the collector would be well outside of the time period a credit card company has to sue a consumer.

They started with a call to my wife's brother saying she owes money for a credit card 10 years ago. That message made it to my wife. She called, they said they are taking her to court to seek Summary Judgement for $3900 but she can pay $1500 now to settle the debt. I then called, trying to get verifiable information regarding debt and lawsuit they mentioned. They couldn't verify anything except our home address. I am seeking legal investigation into the supposed law firm.

I received a call saying that I was being sued due to an unpaid credit that I never received a bill for. They had a lot of my personal information on hand that made it very believable.
