They offer a "100% free sample" and then ask for your credit card for a minor postage charge. Before you ever receive the sample they start billing hundreds of dollars on your credit card stating that you enrolled in a subscription. The problem is compounded because some credit card companies believe that you must have agreed to the terms and conditions. But Abella Mayfair never directs you to read any terms or agree to them. The only way I found the terms was by googling "Abella Mayfair terms and conditions" after I realized I was being charged. And it's a different company that starts out the scam. They claim they are endorsed by Shark Tank even having endorsements on the website.

I did a survey and was offered a Free Sample offer of the facial cream and wrinkle reducer online no where did it say that they would continue to send and charge for it. I immediate received a phone call from their representative and she ensured me that I would not be obligated to order anything further or that i would not be on any auto enrollment. I was then charged $94.95 US for one product ($129.84 CAD) and then another $79.95 US ($108.51 CAD). One month later I received one more order in the mail and my cc was charged again For $99.95 US ($138.70 CAD). There was no invoice information in any of the packages, contact details or contractual information. After calling their customer service department they told me I could not return the last product I was sent and that it would just get returned to me!.

They set out to steal my money by charging my credit card without my authorization, outside the costs/postage for the two initial small sample products ($ 9). Afterwards they steal additional monies by way of unauthorized access to my credit card and deducting additional funds ($ 555) from it.

On November 7, 2016, responding to a pop-up ad on the internet, I answered an offer of a free trial of skin care products, at a cost of $8.90 US to cover shipping. Several weeks after receiving the products, my credit card was billed a total of $257.99 ($Cdn.).

I contacted the company by phone today, January 5, for an explanation. Receiving no satisfaction, I requested to return the products (unopened) in return for a refund. I was told that by authorizing the original purchase, I had in fact authorized a monthly additional shipment which would be billed to my credit card. I did not recall any such terms or conditions, and requested immediate cancellation of any such commitment. I repeated my wish to return the products and to be reimbursed for the entire amount billed to my credit card. The customer service representative would only agree to cancelling my "account" and .to a partial refund of the amount of which I was defrauded.

In Canada, and the USA, we do not expect this kind of fraudulent behaviour. We should take measures to outlaw businesses which prey on citizens as is apparently the case in countries such as Nigeria. Our banks and credit card companies are fully aware of this particular outfit; they should not honor their business.

N.B.: Please note that I will provide copies of the two order confirmation documents which I received from abellamayfair.com

I responded to a pop-up posting on Facebook for a free sample of wrinkle cream if I pay shipping/handling. There was no mention of a 'subscription' or 14-day cancellation requirement. I received the cream and thought nothing of it. But a couple of weeks later, I received a second sample and wondered if this was shipped in error. Then it dawned on me that the company might be charging me for this. I checked my credit card and, sure enough there were TWO charges, one for $137.81 CDN, and one for $135.48 CDN. I immediately emailed the company, and a war of words ensued! They maintained that I agreed to the subscription, but they would cancel it. I insisted on a full refund, but they offered $50, which I refused. In their email, they said 'by responding to this email, you accept our offer'! I responded by saying NO, I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS OFFER, and continued to try to reason with them, to no avail. Here is the most incredible aspect of their explanation for the initial charge: They said that the free sample is free ONLY IF YOU CANCEL the subscription within 14 days. If you do not cancel, THEY CHARGE YOU FULL PRICE FOR THE ORIGINAL FREE SAMPLE! Where does this logic come from?! So if there is a person out there who agrees to the subscription, the free offer is rescinded and they are charged full price! What kind of way is that to treat a customer? I returned the samples to the Toronto address on the package, but have received no response. I am now working with my credit card to reverse the charges.

La compagnie ne prévient pas qu'il faut retourner le produit après un essai de quelques jours (2-3) et charge le prix complet.

Started to order the Free 14 day trial offer of the facial cream online but canceled it before completing it. I immediate received a phone call from their representative and he ensured me if I completed the order I would not be obligated to order anything further. I was then charged $100 US for one product ($137 CAD) and then another $89.00 US ($122) which I assume included shipping for a second product. One month later I received two more orders in the mail and my cc was charged again. There was no invoice information in any of the packages, contact details or contractual information.

After calling their customer service department they told me I could return the last two products I was sent and they would provde a refund once I gave them the tracking number. They would not refund the initial product costs of over $259 CAD.

This scam is completely criminal in nature, even though technically they may have some grounds.

The trial is advertised boldly as free, but its all about billing quickly and charging you exorbitant price for a tiny tube of cream and in addition credit card authority I never agreed to. You have little time (14 days?) to send it back and then your credit card is automatically charged and you are literally signed up with these crooks.

As expected they stand by their terms and conditions so getting a refund seems remote. Its a scam business right here in my backyard (BC) and I would hope they are reported to the authorities. I rarely go these and after this experience I doubt I will again.

The customer is offered a trial for the product for approximately $10. Unbeknownst to me was that I was signing up for a monthly purchase. The time period to return and cancel the order is very short as 14 days is from when the products are ordered and then unauthorized credit card payments and mailing of products occurs. A new no return policy is enforced although I was offered $ 80 refund and could keep the un opened product. I informed the customer service that I was returning the second shipment of unopened product and expected a full $ 250 credit. My credit card company has blocked this company, and I asked for contact when the returned product is received so my credit card can be unblocked and fully refunded.

They provide a free sample for $4, but it is not really free at all- they don't make it clear what is going on, and then charge you full price for the sample after 2 weeks, then send another sample two weeks after that. By the time you get your credit card statement, they have already collected almost $300 in Canadian funds. When I called to cancel and asked for a refund, they would only refund $50 US. The credit card company (Visa) is well aware of this but they have lost challenges with this company, as apparently there is some fine print that explains this, despite the fact that they clearly offer a free sample. Their whole approach is that the sample is free.

Thought I made a one time purchase of approximately $100.. I'm now $670 in charges 7 separate charges over 4 weeks, only received one shipment.

I have learned that when you click "SHIP" you automatically agree to ALL their terms - including the ones they DO NOT TELL YOU ABOUT.

The business model for this company is unethical and should be illegal. They scam consumers into buying samples of their product for a small shipping fee and immediately, and unbeknownst to them, sign them up for a monthly subscriptions at exorbitant prices. Any terms and conditions are buried or non existent on the screens consumers see at the time of sign up. A short time later, the consumer will see a charge on their credit card for their first installment (in my case US$200). When you call to complain, they claim that you've surpassed the 14 day trial period withdrawal window (which, of course you were unaware of) so you are on the hook for the first installment. I have lodged an investigation of this company with my bank and closed the account that I was scammed with so they can't charge me anymore.

A pop up site offers you a free trial with no talk of terms--you give them your cc # pay for shipping, then receive the trial--then you are charged 100US a month for the product without an option to cancel if you missed the 14 day cancellation period.

They make it difficult for you to return product and when I called to cancel mine before I even received it, you then are required to pay half of the cost of product that they sent you!

They are requesting that I pay for the cost of shipping out of my pocket to send back an unopened bottle that they apparently already sent me last night.

The company advertise on FB special offer for the face creames ,that we will be charged only for the shipment .Creames where suppose to be free samples for try out.Where after almost a month after the company took advantige knowing my credit card number charged me for $300,00 .There was no information about additional cost.

This company offers a free trial of their skin cream. They hide the terms from you while you sign up for an account and click on terms there. The trial is not free and they wait to send the cream until 5 days before the trial is up so you have no time to send it back and then your credit card is immediately charged and you are signed up for a monthly subscription. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company and contacted the fraudulent abella mayfair. They stand by their terms which were never clearly displayed and contain mostly legal jargon regarding arbitration. They claim that my trial is up and all they cannot refund my $300!!!! which I thought was free. Their phone number is in BC. I have been emailing with them all day and am on my 3rd person responding. This could be like the Nigerian prince scam but recreated. These kinds of businesses should not be able to legally accept credit cards. Its a scam business. The whole business is a scam. I haven't even used the skin cream. I just want to send it back to them and get my hard earned $300 back.

Started to order product but stopped before sending. Immediate phone call encouraging order for FREE product pay only shipping. No mention that I would be charged for full price of product once received. Received two products not one and was charged full price for both. One month later two products sent again billed to credit card. Unable to return. This is false advertising.

I ordered what was advertised as a free trial. I was later charged $156.84 and told that because I had not opted out of their program that I now had to pay full price for the free trial and would be billed monthly for the same. I cancelled immediately and they now refuse the provide a refund. I believe that their terms are hidden and their intent is to scam.

They send you the free sample but don't tell you that it really costs, they ask you to pay shipping and handling, your credit card is billed for the "free sample, it only becomes a free sample if you return it unused within 7 days, problem is they don't tell you this, they send you no shipping papers, no email confirmation and they automatically charge your credit card every month for your months subscription should you fail to cancel, which again they dont tell you, cannot look up an account to see purchases, order numbers, nothing, no confirmation email comes for your purchase "free sample"

I saw a Facebook Add by the end of september 2016 that led me to a page offering me a free sample of a product called Instantly Ageless. I was curious and the company only asked me for the shipping fees, so I started filling the shipment form. Afthe seeing an add on Facebook about an anti wrinkle product, I got interested about it and ordered a free sample from their page that you can see here :

https://abellamayfair.com/106/?AFFID=5E558505&CID=153&AFID=1027&clic... />
Right on this page, you can see text urging the visitor to take action by giving false informations such as the current date and the stock  while granting you with their first pop up that tries to sell another product. You can refuse if you see the tiny characters at the end saying : No thanks, I'd rather not have beautiful, radiant-looking skin.

After entering my shipping information I got the second part of the transaction where I had to enter my credit card number. Again, false informations was given : The number of people viewing the current page and the low-stock information while clearly saying : Just pay a small shipping fee.

The problem got more serious when I got the the next step. I set of numerous pages was presented to me that looked like the first pop up on their sale's page, trying to sell me a lot of product. I got about 10 of those pages before finally coming to an end. Every offer had that tiny little text at the end giving me the possibility to refuse the offer and that's precisely what I did.

In real life I work as a computer consultant and programmer and I never saw such a misleading selling funnel.

Anyhow, I thought that until now, they just tried their best to get some money of me and I thought I avoided all of their offers.

A couple of days later, I received my small sample and saw that an amount of 3,85$ had been taken on my credit card.

Exactly 14 days later, I saw that a Financial transaction had been done for 156 $ USD on my credit card without my consent. I called my Financial institute and I've been told that I had been a victim of some kind of misleading selling add that was common for them. They told me I should contact the company to try resolving the issue and that's what I did.

I wrote an email to the support email address and got a fast answer with details about terms and conditions. That was clearly too fast and looked like a pre-made email ready to be sent. I was informed that somehow, somewhere, I was said that I could get a free sample and the deal was also a subscription that I had to cancel within 14 days before getting credited.

I exchanged four emails with the support contact and we settled for a 50 $ reimbursment.
