I received a text message at 9:23 a.m. on June 4th 2026 from a person named Megan who addresses me by my name and home address claiming to represent local roofing contractors in my area and wanted me to reach out for an inspection or repairs. I do not feel safe with someone I do not know or personally gave my information to reaching out to me or soliciting potential scams or phishing schemes. [From: 509-862-1942] "Hi [my name], it's Megan. I work with local Newman Lake roofing contractors and have helped many homes similar to yours at [my address] get checked for damage. Would you be open to a free inspection and quote from a local roofer?" Message reported to FTC, FBI, and text forwarded to '7726'
