Home was not listed on the website however American homes 4rent is the company in charge of managing the property. We viewed the property with who we thought was the landlord, filled out the application, and paid security deposit along with first month rent and continued paying rent until we were informed the "landlord" was not affiliated with the company but they were aware of the issue. They quickly moved forward with evictions.

Fake website with fake phone number (phone number belongs to a resident in Virginia) advertising my company's property that is currently for sale as a rental property (low rent) in Barrington, RI. They are attempting to get personal information for unsuspecting people looking for a place to rent.

This person was using a rental ad on Zumper.com posing as the landlord. They also sent me a lease and approval letter for the house. I fell for it and made the deposits via cash app. They stayed in contact with me for weeks. I finally told them after they kept asking for more money Im not giving you anymore money and then they stopped contacting me. I told them I found out the truth and got in contact with the real homeowner and she told me that she had removed the listing several times from Zumper. She also said I wasnt the only one that this happened to. I told these people to give me my money back and that I reported them to the police. I have not heard from them since. I also reported this to the FTC, attorneys general office, I have contacted Zumper and cash app. I have also filed a dispute with my bank. I am out $3900.00.

Hello, I'm Allan Tremayne Wright.  I want to open a fraud investigation.   I found a townhouse listing on www.zumper.com from a private owner.  We chatted through email and came to an agreement that I would pay $500 toward the deposit March 1st and pay weekly until paid off.  He typed and emailed a lease and I signed and sent payment the next day.  After the $500, the person was persistent.  I questioned them why and to let me see the place but no luck.  The contact person on the listing was Eric Lewis, Grogan Management.  Fast forward, March 31st was move in day.  My housing authority was late with paperwork so the person didn't get the first month's rent.  I sent more to secure the key and the person was playing phone tag with me the whole day giving me the run around.   I went and parked in front of the townhome for 3 hours waiting, then finally I decided to knock on the door.  A tall, Light-skinned, bald head guy with a black/grey beard answered.  I asked if the home was for rent, he said he moved in March 15th, 2023.  I asked him to check the mail because I knew my mail was going there already.  At first he acted like he didn't want to, then he did.  He claims he hasn't checked the mail since he moved in.  He did, my mail was there, I showed my ID because he acted like he didn't want to give me the mail.  He said it was 3 other people who had their mail in that box, which makes me think I wasn't the only one who got scammed.  Also, I have Informed Mail with USPS and I see that indeed different people's mail is going there.  I left, and as soon as I turned the corner with the UHaul, the person texted me.  I strongly feel the scammer was either the guy I spoke to or someone who lives nearby and was watching, I could be wrong.   One of the Chime payments they had issues with, so I sent $100 through PayPal, friends and family as requested.  I thought it was because the receiver pays a fee to receive the money, actually it was so they could scam me and my money would not be protected through PayPal.  PayPal didn't refund me because of that.  Somehow, the person got into my Chime account and bought $53 worth of crypto on 2 seperate transactions.  I am a single father, my daughter and I are now homeless because of this and I am flat broke.  I want this person/person prosecuted and I would like my money back ASAP. Grand total $1576.82, but minus the $100 sent through PayPal, that's $1476.82 through Chime.  PLEASE HELP!  Attached I have Provided the screenshots.  I have ALL of the texts on my phone, and after I sent this message I am going to forward the email conversations.  My number is 757-439-5205 and I am going to close my Chime accounts.  I was also told to file a police report.  Please get in touch, as my daughter and I lives depend on it.  Thank You.

Zumper has a listing that is reflecting incorrect listing agent information. We received a call from a prospective client and they claimed they were interested in a listing which stated had one of our agents as the listing agent. We reached out to the listing agent since she is a California Real Estate agent and asked if it was her listing since it was listed in Nevada. According to state laws, a real estate agent in California cannot list in another state, unless they are licensed in that state. We submitted a report to Zumper and they have yet to take down the listing. The listing is 20 Papavero Court, Henderson, NV 89011, USA on Zumper. https://www.zumper.com/address/20-papavero-ct-henderson-nv-89011-usa - this is the link to the listing.

The scammers are posing as property owners who claims wife is dying of cancer and wants to rent out property. They have a code to the lock to let you inside rental by remote. They use a jot form app to have you place all your information for approval on there. Then they say you’re approved and use an act of urgency to send a $1095 deposit immediately instead of filling out the lease, money order and 1st months rent. They ask you to send money and they’ll send rental agreement.Beware

I have the property listed for sale Century 21 Bono realty

Toni M Gross (the name that was given)is the individual who has scammed me about a rental property. This person has created a document stating that they are the property owner and will rent it out to me for $650 a month. I had agreed and sent his secretary Cedric Rashid Sullivan the security deposit of 750 through zelle which was sent to 3344128853 phone number. I then sent more money because I order to receive the keys for this residence I needed to send the first months rent which was 650. When I was told where to send it to through zelle it was yet another person named Steven Goodwin email was [email protected]. when I sent the 1400 total toni gave me excuses saying that I need to send more money because in order to get the keys priority mail it will cost 523 to be shipped from dallas texas to lumberton nj. I thought this was ridiculous and started to feel even more like it was a scam and totally raised a red flag. I should've realized it when I had to send money to different people but I didnt think of anything because the end of this month I have no where to go. I have filed every possible complaint possible and have even tried to find legit addresses of these people to go after them for my money and create a lawsuit. I had sent the money through zelle and ofcourse zelle has no protection on who you send money to.

Zumper scammers tried to scam my parents and kept calling them to send them 1,750.00 to take the house out the add,,,and he had the add through Invitation homes....Do not send any money....if it sounds to good to be true,,,please investigate them first,,they are in Facebook and zillow..

Somehow my name and phone number were put down as the contact for a 3 bedroom 2 bath house for rent. I know nothing of it and contacted the person who thought I was the person to call if interested and told me it was listed on this website Zumper. I was my information removed!

They stated that they are the owners of a rental property. Rent is $1100 per month when the crush listing on other sites is $1800. They said the got hurt in a crash and now live in Texas for husbands job. Looking for someone to rent their house and they are not using a realtor anymore due to their greed.

- Houston, TX, USA

The said owner Mr Cliffton Wallace of rental property located at 20123 Glen Burn Court Humble, Texas 77346 led me to believe this was his property that he was renting out. I was given access code to enter the house & view it. He asked for a security deposit of $1250.00 to hold house until my move in date of 01/1/2020. I made transaction via cash app. After I made payment I was sent a lease via email he kept in touch assuring me I could move in on January 1,2020 once I asked for my keys he gave me the run around for 3 days so I contacted *** *** *** on 12/31/2019 because the house is listed for sale on their website. I spoke with Douglas from *** Brokerage & he let me know that they’re the owners of the home & the only deal strictly with homes for sale not rent. So I’m contacting the ScamPulse.com to start a claim against this individual who taking money from people in hopes of moving into a nice home.

My sister was looking for houses to rent and came across a listing of a very familiar house. My house. That I own. They have it listed as a rent to buy type of deal. But how can they possibly have my house listed to rent when I have a contract on it to sell and it’s not to this company. I’m guessing that they would have “rented” this house to my sister, she sent an inquiry that they responded to asking for more information from her, when we close on that house it’s a private first time buyer tomorrow.

found a listing on facebook for an apartment posted by zumper. i requested more information for the apartment and received an email within a few days. i was told to make a deposit to bitcoin and airbnb would help with the inspection of the place. if i liked the apartment, they would provide the leasing contract and deposit would go towards first month rent, if not, they would refund the money
