My partner and I attempted to rent an apartment being managed by ZRC Management, LLC. The company said that we needed to pay them a $300 administration fee and $200 application fee to file an application to rent the apartment. After we paid the $500 fee, they then told us that our application was approved, but then said that they could not rent us the apartment. They told us that the $500 in fees were non-refundable, then cut off all communication with us. We have already filed an official legal complaint against them with HUD and are now seeking legal representation to pursue this issue further. The management company is intentionally trying to scam prospective tenants out of the administration and application fees when they have no intention of renting anyone the apartments.
