I have been searching for personal loans and was contacted my a loan agent who seemed like the they were legitimate. But when it got to sending over the contract for allow them to deposit funds, they asked for more personal information and stated that they needed to verify my bank account. This seemed like part of the process but seemed a little odd that they would ask over the phone. So like an [censored], I gave it to them. A little less than 30 minutes, there were reversals from actual purchases that I had made online that I had never authorized. I called my bank and they said that I had called in to file those claims. So I confirmed it wasn’t me who authorized the claims and they placed a restriction on my account before any further transactions were attempted. Now I have to open a new account. I never should have trusted them. They also asked for me to make a large purchase at a Walmart, Walgreens, or whatever retailer they claim to have ties with. This is not accurate and they are fraudulent and DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
