I applied for a work from home job on Indeed. A couple days later I received an email from said job saying to download Google Chat to set up an interview via the chat. The interviewer introduced herself as Mrs. Angela, and proceeded to ask me questions about myself, about my work experience, and why I would be a good fit. (you know typical employer questions.) she then sent a link for me to take a look at their company’s website, (Zemek Construction Company) which seemed legit. after asking me a few more questions to figure out my skill set, she said that I was given the job and that I would be sent a check to purchase all necessary equipment for this job. I received a check immediately the next day. And I was kind of skeptical, because not only did they know it was delivered right away. They also seemed a tad bit pushy as to when I was going to deposit it. It was all so very odd. After doing some research on what work from home scams may look like I figured it was all fake. I believe scammers use actual existing companies likeness to appear legit.
