I was selling a dresser on Facebook Market Place as I am a college student and moving at the end of the month. A user by the facebook name Amanda Beyder contacted me regarding purchasing the dresser. After sending $25 to my Zelle account I received an email from zellepay.zellepay.llc stating the bank transfer was received but there is a hold on my account since it's not upgraded to a business account. The email continued to say an automatic $200 was withdrawn from the purchasers account to upgrade my zelle and once I return the $200 my account will be activated and I can collect the $225 from the purchaser. However, I was having issues with sending the money through Zelle and refunded the purchaser through venmo as this was an option within the email (with proof of screenshots). Needless to say I was scammed for an additional $300, resulting in a total of $500 lost. I would like to report the 2 venom accounts and facebook user so this does not happen to another innocent person.
