My alternator went out on my vehicle in a location away from my home. I contacted YourMechanic mobile mechanic service. A mechanic came out the next day and did the repairs. The repair stated it came with a 12 mo/12,000 mi warranty. About a month ago the Duralast (problematic alternator) went out and burned up the alternator cord and battery. I contacted the company to initiate my warranty service. YourMechanic clamed that they didn't have an inspector in my area and that the vehicle needed to be inspected before the warranty could by initiated. I had my vehicle towed to a local Toyota dealer and they confirmed that the alternator was faulty. As of today, my vehicle is still located in the back lot of the Toyota dealer and MyMechanic will not honor their warranty. My truck has been at Toyota for three weeks now. MyMechanic reps have tried so many tricks on the phone to invalidate the warranty, but the Toyota dealer and I have followed all instructions from them to a tee. Their latest trick was to say they had a photo sent to them from the Toyota dealer showing my new battery hooked up backwards and that there were also jumper cables hooked up backwards on the battery, which caused all the damage (alternator and alternator cord). The mechanic that came out and did the original work was fantastic and I have no problem with him. However, do not and I repeat do not use this company because if there is problems with the work performed you will not receive any help from YourMechanic. After having these problems I looked them up on the Better Business Burea website and found out that they have an "F" rating.
