I was approached online through the company LinkedIn about a company that was interested in me for employment. It took 2 hours for them to ask me what I felt was legitimate employment questions. But after 2 hours they said that they were going to send me a check by email and that I needed to print the front of the check and the back of the check. At that point I texted the gentleman who I had been conferring with and asked how a company who didn't know anything about me and how I didn't know anything about the company would send me a check in that amount of money. I sent that message 6 hours ago and have not heard from the person since. I just want people out there to know that even though you're going through a legitimate company like LinkedIn there are still people who are trying to scam potential employees. It is pathetic and I just hate the thought that I spent so much time feeling that this company was interested in me only to find out that it was a scam.

Mr. Jacob Williams contacted me via Zoom, he said he was from YU Group PLC and had seen my resume on hiring websites, which I am on, and asked me about 20 questions about different jobs, and I told him that I was interested in Data Entry or customer service rep, after answering the questions he said he needed to send to the board of directors and it was a remote, work from home position, and was going to send me a starting check to buy software because I can't use my own equipment and I was to open a wells Fargo Bank Account tomorrow and DM him at 10 a.m. after checking in at 8 a.m. and being the first to say good morning to him and training was $25.00 hour and $43.00 an hour after that, I have all the text messages on my phone from Zoom if you need them. I am not sure how to bring the texts from my phone to my computer which I am on now.

I received a txt message saying I was selected for an interview that my resume was seen on indeed, I went forward with the interview which was all done through Zoom (online chat) and I was asked to provide all of my personal information when I expressed that I did not feel comfortable sending my personal information through messages,they kept insisting that is was so they could send me a check in the mail at that point I stopped responding and told them I was going to decline their job offer
