An individual identified themselves as John Davis. He asked if I'm the purchase card holder for my location, which I am. He spoke VERY fast and asked for the make of our printer. I asked if he meant the copier, our Xerox. He said yes. I verified with my supervisor who said our contract was not through a corporation, but our local small business. So then he changed his story and asked for our HP model number. I told him he purchase those directly, not through a contract. He asked for the model number again, so I told him I'd check and call him back. He said if I called back I'd get sent through a queue, so he could wait on hold or call me back. I asked him to give me 5 minutes. I Googled the number and found this ScamPulse.com scam. He never made it to asking me for my credit card, but I'm sure if I gave him any information, that would have been the next step.

He just called me back and I said I called our contract company and they never asked for anything to be sent. He said, "Hmmm, I wonder who called then?" And I said, "I thought you said this was our regular shipment that was late, meaning no one called?" And he made some story about having a lot of calls and got them mixed up. And I said he's calling the Federal government right now and I know this is a scam and he hung up.
