Responded to ad on Freelancer.com for Virtual Assistant position. When you respond to the project, you are redirected to Google Hangouts for an online interview for a virtual interview. After answering the 10 interview questions and responded in the briefing in a timely manner, the interviewer named Marlyn Ross goes away for a while presumably because she's conducting other chats at the same time. When she returns, she informs me that I have been selected for the position.

I didn't suspect that this was a scam until I checked the company website and found the disclaimer. The interview briefing was so informative. The language used all of the correct industry terminology so I didn't hesitate to send my resume to the so called Hiring Manager's Gmail address and not her Xellia company email address.

After reading the disclaimer on the company website, I then realized that it didn't make sense in hindsight to talk to one person on Freelancer.com "@chamberszelma604" with just 1 open project on their profile and then talk to "Ross" who never actually stated what the official salary and job title was. The Freelancer.com project requested a Virtual Assistant.
