This was a work from home position listed on indeed. As soon as I applied and was chosen, the listing was closed and said expired. A phone number was never given for a point of contact. They sent a check then wanted me to inform them once deposited and asked for my bank name. The check was for me to purchase equipment for the job. Once I got it he says let him know so they can purchase. I asked for the employee handbook he said I would get, he says I will get it 2 days before my first day. After thinking about the whole thing, I pulled up the address in envelope that the check was sent in, it is a house. They tried to get name of my bank but I would not give so as of yet, nothing was taken.
