I ordered a 2020 Hot Selling-GTA 26 Battery-Powered Wood Cutter - Outdoor Portable Carbon Steel Chain x 1 after viewing it cut tree limbs on the website. I got a message from Wydzzp.com that the order had shipped and it included a tracking number and a link to their store. I did visit the website but did not purchase anything else from it. I waited and waited and even tried the tracking number but could not use it. I finally requested an update on the shipment from them.

At that point my inquiry was sent to a Chinese support site ([email protected]) who indicated they were investigating the issue. About 5 days later, I got a message from them that the package had shipped and to use a link (https://www.17track.net/en)for detailed shipping information using the tracking number. They cited delays due to Covid-19 and lack of manpower in the supply chain as a case of force majeure.

A couple of weeks later, I got a small package in a USPS envelope while I did not recall ordering anything that small. It was suppoedly the wood cutter although it was far different from what I saw and ordered. It is essentially a chain with two nylon handles at each end that can be put around a branch and manually used to cut it. Needless to say, it was not what I ordered and I communicated with both the Chinese vendor and Wydzzp that I was not happy with the item. I also included PayPal service on the message because I had paid through them.

I got a message from PayPal to access my account and follow the dispute process to try to resolve the issue with the vendor. I did not have an account but did set one up. In my opinion, the dispute process is very confusing/cumbersome and designed to keep the customer from pursuing it.

The Chinese vendor did not respond immediately and Wydzzp never responded so everything has been going through China. After waiting for a response I sent another message that if I did not hear from them in a short period of time, I was opening a dispute with PayPal. They then responded immediately that they were investigating the issue.

This is their response:

If you would like to get the chainsaw, we may offer a discount for you to get the one you actually need.

We can make an exception for you with a surcharge $60, and you will get the chainsaw which costs $89.99. It's equivalent to you buying the chain for free. The chain you received before can be used as a simple tool as a free gift from us.

If you accept this suggestion, please kindly transfer $60 to our paypal account [email protected], then let us know the transaction ID.

Or you may place a new order for the electric chainsaw, and we will refund you the difference $29.99.

I have told them I will not be sending them anymore money and that I am reporting their shoddy business practices to the Better Business Bureau. Additionally I can no longer access Wydzzp.com on the internet using either a link in an e-mail or through Google.
