- Montpelier, VA, USA

We have, at least 4 to 5 times a week (if not EVERY day in a week), now for AT LEAST a month or two, received a robot call from a company saying (this is WORD for WORD what is in the message); "Hello, and congratulations, you have recently applied for a payday loan, and you have been pre-approved for our highest gold level. To receive your funds, simply visit www.loanmewire.com, and type in your VIP promo code of 2322. Once again, visit loanmewire.com, and type in your VIP promo code of 2322. This offer will expire in 24 hours. Congratulations again". Of course, I have never gone to this website, nor do I suggest anyone do so, as I have certainly NEVER applied for any loan with this company (or any other recently), so it is an obvious scam to phish for my personal information and steal monies from my accounts. I am SICK and TIRED of getting these harrassing calls; sometimes they occur during the evening hours, sometimes during lunch time (like today, around 12:30pm), but almost every single day. Always using the same annoying "happy" loud male robot voice announcing the identical information. I had registered my phone numbers (both land line and all mobile numbers) on the National Do Not Call registry long ago, when it was first put into place for us consumers, to avoid these kind of harrassing phone calls, and I just recently re-registered all said numbers again to keep updated in that system. Somehow, this call from this company is still getting past that registry's filter. It is becoming VERY annoying and, as I have stated, VERY harrassing, to keep getting this call practically every day, either live, or when checking my phone messages when returning from a long day working or running errands. I would like said company to be investigated by the ScamPulse.com in Richmond, and if necessary, upgraded to the local law enforcement level (or other regulatory agency associated with helping citizens with phishing scams and/or phone harrassment/scam calls), in order to have these robot calls stopped. I am 100% sure I cannot be the only person being targeted by this phishing scam here in central Virginia, and I want to help protect the other citizens of Virginia (old and young) against this apparent scam, because the vast majority of them will either keep being harrassed (by trying to continue to ignore the problem, as we had done for so long), not know they have rights to file a legal complaint such as this against the company to get it investigated, or they will fall for the scam and lose information, or in a worse case scenario, monies from their accounts after being subjected to this scam. Thank you for your time, and feel free to contact myself, my wife, or my son (that lives with us) at the supplied home number, for any further information we can provide to try and assist you in your investigation(s) regarding this issue.
