On Aug 1, 2023 a representative from Assured Restoration came out to my home after being recommended by American Home Sheild on the exact same day for a repair. The representative by the name of Brayten Kubecka came out to asset the damage and proceeded to give an estimate around $4000+ for the restoration of a small bathroom. We begin to discuss my home insurance company and the billing. Brayten proceeds to tell me not to mention the amount to the insurance company, afraid they would possibly give me less money for the job. Months later on 11/01/2023, I called Assured Restoration to come out and possibly complete the job and was then called back by representative of the company. The representative then says, her (general manager), "Carey Garrett" stated, the estimate that was given to me was a CASH OFFER ONLY, WITHOUT THE USE OF INSURANCE. I proceed to tell the representative that, cash was never discussed, only billing through my home insurance. I then say, you guys would give me a cheaper quote if I paid you directly but, will then turn around and bill my insurance a higher quote" Her answer was, YES! In disbelief to her statement, I was in shock! I proceed to tell her that something didn't sound right and cash was never discussed. I was given a price quoted to me and this company "Assured Restoration" wanted to bill my home insurance a higher quote?? After I called and asked for the general manager's name, I received a call back from Carey Garrett. (general manager). He asked if I understood how this thing works and admitted that they would definitely try to bill a higher rate to the insurance company and not the actual quote that was given. I ended the call by stating, that I would for sure be shopping around and I prefer to not do business. This company is running a scam to the insurance companies out there for more money and directly billing them. I would like to address this before someone else is SCAMMED.....INSURANCE FRAUD!!!!!.
