After having my trademark approved for registry by the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office), I received by post a letter by the aforementioned scammer, requesting to pay a 1,420 USD fee to have my trademark registered in a database that has no value whatsoever. No contact name or phone is given.

Do not fall for this scam, they claim to register and publish your trademark/brand for $1,420 but provide no added service than what you are required to do for registering your trademark via the government website. The letter I received looked very official with the trademark name I submitted. Fortunately, I asked my patent attorney before falling for it!

Join a trademark registration team. I do in fact have a pending trademark and I don’t have the slightest idea where they could have obtained a picture of my trademark but in fact they mailed me a picture of the same trademark I’m registering with USPTO.
