The scammer has targeted my company twice using different mailing address and billing us for a trademark service. I checked with my attorney about these type of services and she warned not to pay for anything because all required fees were paid when we filed for our trademark.

The victim filed a trademark application through his own patent lawyer. Upon the information of the trademark is published, the scammer act as if he/she is the government trademark issuing agency and sent an invoice for such registration. The scammer may have a legitimate trademark application business, but impose himself as if they are government agency who grant such trademark or patent. I have consulted with my trademark lawyer and was informed that this is a scam.
