I purchased an office chair from Liftad back in August 2022. The first red flag I noticed was when they provided a link to a Chinese shipping company to track the order. I waited for two months and noticed the shipping information was never updated. I contacted the company directly by email, since they do not have a phone number on their website, and requested the cancelation of the order since I waited for months without any updates. Liftad declined my request to cancel the order and pointed out that they have a non-cancelation policy. On November 1st, I was also informed the order was dispatched, and ended up receiving the order via FedEx on November 10th. That is three months without any updates.

When I got the package I noticed the box was wet and damaged, since we live in Florida and were under a storm warning and it was raining all that week. When I carefully open the box, I found that water had reached inside soaking the chair with the leather material. Not only that, I noticed the color was not even close to the baby blue color I ordered and that was advertised on the website, instead, I received a teal color.

I contacted Liftad via email the same day to notify them the chair arrived wet in a damaged box that was poorly sealed allowing water inside. They requested pictures which I provided. They began pushing back via email, telling me they could not open the images, so I had to resize them, then they wanted me to circle on the pictures where the chair got wet! it is worth to mention I provided high-resolution pictures where you can see the water on the chair in contrast with my hand.

After much back and forth, they told me they were refunding 20% of the cost and I could keep the chair, since I refused they changed it to 30%. I insisted on a full refund and the return of the chair since I did not pay for a wet chair and the incorrect color. After they send me the return information and to my surprise, the address was in Hong Kong! I was supposed to pay for the return shipping which cost more or the same as the chair! not to mention the cost of reboxing the item. This company has hundreds of complaints on different rating websites and seems they are running a Refund and Recover scam.
