An individual that is known to me told me he sent me a small package, using writolayfastdelivery@gmail. I paid $1600 to receive my package. Then as they were about to deliver it on Saturday, it did not have a yellow tag, so I paid another $300. Then on Monday they were to deliver the package at 4 pm. I received an email stating that it was still being inspected by U.S. Customs. Today, they wanted $2700 for the package to clear customs. I refused. I reported this to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and they told me to report it to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The scammers pretended to be from customs but their email was [email protected] and not .gov. For this to work, the individual that I thought I knew had to be a part of it. He forgot to tell me about the $1600 and the fee for the yellow tag. He also encouraged me to send the $2700. Do not trust anyone who asks you to pay via Cash App or does not provide a phone number! You have been warned.
