The scammer seemingly hacked into an email that is owned by a professor at my college wanting to recruit for a Virtual Assistant Position. Just like another victim, they accepted the job application and also sent me an electronic check for $2,200. The funds are currently pending and they think they're going to get my employment in return. When asked if it was a scam, they got upset at me and asked if I was trying to steal money from the company.
