I received a text from the Workers Compensation Appeal Board saying I had been randomly picked and was eligible to recover up to $65,000 or more. The text told me to contact Agent Jack Martin at (510) 747-9269 with claim code WCAB#50 for confirmation and activation of winnings. I have not made any workers compensation claim, but i did make an unemployment claim about a year ago and did not win the dispute with my horrible former employer. I knew this was a scam, but i do wonder whether the unemployment website has been hacked. I did not respond at all to the text, and I immediately reported it to the BBB. I do not know enough about my phone to be able to save a copy of the text and I have no way to print it, so I am unable to attach an image of the text.
