Type of a scam Government Grant

From there they ask for my full name and address to "check their database" if I qualify. Of course, I do.
They ask for $2,000 in apple gift cards, I'm attempting to get them to find another method... if not this is all the info I have.. I'm just going to tell them my car won't start and to hold the "money"
