From adding Instagram followers I added an old long ago friend. She said she had some “Vutal Information “ for me about a Grant program that delivered $70,000. to her house yesterday. She says I should call this number to see if I could qualify. I was approved. Next thing I know I was being asked how much money I wanted but I had to pay an upfront “Clearance and Delivery Fee “ based on the amount I wanted. The more money I wanted in the GRANTthe larger the Fee. I choose $200,09. So the fee was going up to $5000. I then DM my friend and she confirms that everything is okay, go for it. (Not knowing this was the scammer). I then tried to send the “first amount “of $500. Cash App sent me a statement saying that “They have refund the payment for my own protection “. Now I’m suspicious!! I let them know that Cash App refused to send the money for my protection. Immediately discussion about going to the store and buying gift cards came up. I DM my friend again and she says yes she did the gift cards and it’s all okay.

Something just don’t feel right so I went to take a nap. I woke up, went on ScamPulse.com and read about the exact scam I almost got taken for. My friend knew nothing about any of the scam !!!!
