Looking for work, I was sent information about a work from home virtual assistant position making $42,000/year plus $100 bonus per completed task/project. NO INTERVIEW AND NO IN-PERSON contact. No company logos in any email sent. Company website looks legit, but I googled the address. There are 18 businesses listed. This company is not one of them. When you call the phone number, there’s a robo-message as the greeting. I sent an email asking for an in person meeting via teams. I told them I’d prefer to send info another way than unencrypted email. We’ll see what happens. I was also speaking with Diana Richardson and Lindsay Rose. They even typed the copyright symbol on the LLC name. Another thing that tipped me was the fact they were in TX, but sent an employment agreement from NY. Bummer. I really liked the look of the job, but that’s the whole idea. I’d like to make money, not lose it. Job hunter’s be aware!

I received a random email from an organization stating that I was pre-approved for a job, but they wanted me to apply further. I didn't think anything of it at the time because I was completing hundreds of applications a day and although I didn't recognize the company's name, I figured it was an "easy apply" job I had applied for and moved on to the next or that they had run a search and found me on a job site search. They offered me an Accounting Assistant position, paying $42,000 annually and asked me to complete a formal application and send a copy of my driver's license or passport. I thought it was strange that the instructions specifically said to cover document information or personal information. (Normally, that information is processed on the I-9 to verify citizenship status). I was then handed off from the HR Manager Diana Richardson to Manager Lindsay Rose. I asked both ladies if I could schedule a phone call or Zoom/Teams. Originally, I asked to "verify some questions about the role" but after neither of them answered me via email (and the phone number on file does not connect to anyone), I emailed back and said I am not comfortable sending my bank information until I can verify your company. Crickets after that. No response whatsoever.

I also received a job offer from Diana Richardson at Wixon Consulting and Investments, LLC via email.
I thought it was unusual that she contacted me without having never heard of their company, but figured she just found my resume on one of the several job sites I've joined.
After receiving my Application, she offered me a job without scheduling a phone or video interview.
I've had in-person interviews that resulted in my getting hired on the spot, but I've never got hired without an interview.

This doesn't seem legitimate at this point.
