I received a call on my cell phone from (860)951-7532 Hartford, CT. The male voice stated that he was from Windows Live Tech Support from the Geek Squad support. He stated it was urgent that I go to my computer now and follow the steps he guides me through because they had received notification that my internet security and firewall are fixing to be disabled. I told him I was confused and had never heard of anything like this before and that windows live support wouldn't be calling me. He tried to assure me it was a legit call and told me to go to my computer and look up the computer license ID number for verification. He then gave me a bunch of letters and numbers to look up my computer license ID for verification and told me again it was urgent and to get to my computer immediately. I advised him no and to give me a call back number and he told me to call him back immediately at 1(855) 481-5399 and to be sure to ask specifically for him Phillip. I did not get on my computer or follow his instructions, and I did not call him back. I did talk with my husband, brother, and daughter and they were all in agreement to report this incident to the BBB. I am also going to report it the Attorney General's office in the near future. I believe that this is a scam so please be careful.
