Watching news feed item, computer locked up, 4 pages covered screen all on top of each other. One stated scammer was trying to get personal and banking information. Stated it was Windows Defender Help Tech to call a number listed to get computer unlocked. I use Windows Defender regularly. I called the number, do not remember #, But have the number that the guy was on while talking to me. He had a heavy accent & was in a noisy background, like call center.. Kept asking various questions, stated a site named (foreignhub.net) was trying to control my computer. I begin to question some the things he ask so I hung up. He called right back, he wanted me to report it to my bank. I hung up as I could do that myself. I unplugged all connection to computer and landline phones . Later in the day my son turned the computer back on to check for anything added and during that time the mouse curser began moving without us touching it. So I took the computer to repair shop and for $115 he unloaded the computer back to hard drive. I have spent three days changing accounts .
