I met Leiutenant William Garrett on FB a couple of months. He claims to be a 72 year old widower. I have never spoken to him. We email. He began by asking me a lot of questions; what I do for a living, whether I was married. He told me he owned an oil field and property in CA. I asked him to take a picture of himself, and he said it was against military security. Two weeks ago, he said he needed $5000 to have his personal belongings, pictures of his late wife, his child and $5 million out of Iraq. He said there are no banks in Iraq. Then, instructed me to put $5000 in cash in an envelope and the envelope in a box and take it out teh post office and have it mailed to Mardax Private Delivery Worldwide. The message reads: Dear Valued Customer ____, we understand you may be receiving numerous communications we felt it necessay to reach out to you important, your husband who is currently in a warzone has sent you a package, we have been entrust with responsible of delivering this carrier to you Your husband has expressed his urgent need for the package to reach you and would like to to proceed with the delivery fee due to the war zone it is critical that we receive the payment as soon as possible it cannot be returned to war zone Your proper action will be assured that your husband's package will reach you without delay we understand the importance of this package to you and your husband we kindly implore you to take the package at necessary steps payment for your husbands portfolio at earliest convenience p[lease kindly remit this payment as soon as possible or immediately we will work to deliver your husbands package to you without further delay. Another email says we are reaching out to you concerning the package in war zone, to proceed you must submit payment immediately, we do not accept responsibility for damages if payment is not received on time. Yesterday, he said: My love I need to be honest with you. I feel there's been doubt in your heart about me. You haven't shared. It makes me wonder if you have trust online or in truth of love we share about .. he said the military pulled out and the five banks in Iraq and a woman who lost $10,000 and I am confused at this point what she has to do with me. I was called up for special duty in Iraq which I whay I am currently here. My commitment to you is based in love if you have any doubts about me or concerns about us, please share with me directly. Honest communication is the only way to build trust and I want nothing more for us than to build on truth and no doubts." This morning, he said: "My love do you have any doubts about me in your heart, dont' you trust me or believe in who I am". I told him I googled his name and found he retired in 2020. He said not to believe everything I read on the internet. He says he doesn't like me being silent. Before this guy, there was a Richard Clark, and I filed a police report on him.
