I was looking to purchase a Maine [censored]. I came across “Mr. Mason’s” Maine [censored] website advertised as kmainecoonkittens.com I called the number he provided on the website and it took a few rings until he finally picked up, he had a very heavy accent and I couldn’t understand him much through text due to poor grammar and incomplete sentences. I proceeded on with speaking with him about purchasing the kitten, it seemed legit to me but I still was very skeptical even towards the end, he received the “first deposit” then proceeded to tel me he was at the airport and then told him he needed a special crate to be shipped to me I got angry and told him forget it and tried to have him send my money back he then told me that he would pay half the crate cost if I would just send him the 400$ and that would go towards the kittens deposit for the rest of his cost. Once I was finished sending “Mason” the money he never texted me back or answered my phone calls. I’ve always been aware of scam artist but I never thought I would be a victim and he gained my trust just enough just so I would send him the rest of my money.. the agency that he used to set the crate deposit up, I have their number and email, also with screen shots.
