I was looking for a part time job online on Facebook jobs. I found one for a proofreader, work from home position, I spoke the person who made the post (Darell Dabney) through messenger. He gave me a few details and had me message a person called Chad Mosher on the app Telegram. Chad did a supposed interview with me on the app and I answered all the employment questions and got a strange employment paper from him and all seemed ok. Eventually he said that I was accepted for the position and I would be needing some equipment and they will pay for it all. He had somebody email me a file of a check and told me to take a picture of it and deposit it. I did and he said to then send the money from said check to a person named Skyla Richey ([email protected]) through the Zelle money sending option from my PNC Bank app. I sent the cash and the next day (today) my account was overdrawn the amount of the check and PNC Bank told me that the check was returned and it was flagged as fake or altered. The bank told me to me to try to get a real check from the person who sent it and they are not responding to any messages. They email that sent the check was "[email protected]".

Hello I was searching for data entry jobs through Upwork and was contacted by someone through a company they are calling Wiley. I too had to do an interview through telegram and now have been offered a letter of employment through email and it just seems off. No contact info to actually speak to anyone, no onboarding done through actual website. The CEOs signature on letter of employment is not the same name as the CEO on their website. I am wondering if it is the same people you were scammed by
