I was texted about a production gig by a production gig at 2:19am that asked if I could be a production assistant. I responded to secure the job at 2:20am 7/22/2023. They asked for my availability for September 4-13, 2023 and I said I was free. He then requested I send an email with work history and references. I responded to that 4:47pm 7/22. He responded with an email at 8:40pm explaining the situation and that they needed someone to fill the position. I was waiting to speak with my colleague about the position to respond but did not want to lose the job. He then called on 7/23 to verify that I intended to respond. I said yes and then sent I sent the contact sheet which included my SSN and ID. He then called me again on 7/23 as a quick interview then said they were waiting for someone to get me verified in order to get me set up. I was expecting a call back from them today. I then spoke to my colleague and as I explained it aloud I realized it could be a scam.
