I had initially received an email from my school email account, so I assumed that it was a school related job. The scammer had told me to fill out a form with my information so they could contact me to work as a secret shopper for Wholefoods. Once I filled that out, I then got an email on my personal email and that's when I decided I should look it up to see if it was real. Turns out, it was a scam. After about 2 weeks, I received another email and the check in my mail telling me that I need to cash in my check and buy gift cards, then send those gift cards to the email and/or number provided.

I went on a job site for a job and this add show up they sent me a check for 1,950 dollars for me to deposit in my bank account told me to buy 3 500.00 dollars American Express gift cards and the faster i get the job done the more bonuses i would get they wanted me to send a picture of the cards and save them for future use

I received a USPS mail include a copy of check. And a letter that has a information how you gonna do it. First you have to deposit the check and then you have to txt the number to let that person know that you received the mail. After that you have to get a Nike gift card to 3 different store with the amount of 2, 500 dollars and I keep the $450 for my payment. After you purchased the gift card you scratch it and send it back to that cell number for your next assignment. After I sent them the Pictures of the gift card I didn't hear from the person. Last thing I know thr check bounced.
