I received a text message from (415) 506-8793 from a Mr. Jeremy Walker from (Wittenstein Group) in regards to a job opportunity. I let Mr. Jeremy know that I did not apply with that company for any open positions, he claims they got my resume from the state resume database and he would like me to interview with Mike Trotter contacting him via Google Hangouts. I proceeded to see what the interview was going to entail and Mike asked some very valid interview questions, but as the interview went on he would throw random questions to validate information like, email address, phone number, mailing address. He offered a pay of $20/hour and then said I did so well on the interview that they want to offer me the position, my next steps would be to complete the necessary documents so I can get paid weekly or bi-weekly depending on my preference.

I then contacted the company Wittenstein Group and was informed that there is a Mike Trotter that works for the company but they do not do any interviews via google hangout. There is no work from home positions available. The company is aware of the scam and already received an actual job offer letter from someone else who got scammed.

I messaged scam Mike back and told him what the company informed me of and he tried to convince me the reason the job is not available is because they are still in the pre-hiring stages. I told him I was no longer interested.
