I was searching for a dachshund puppy and came across https://www.whitneydacshundpuppies.com/ where the was a puppy I was interested in purchasing. I made contact inquiring about the puppy. I received a text message back saying the puppy was available. I asked specific details about the puppy which were provided. I received and email with the specific details and requesting information regarding me as a potential owner - details about the home the puppy would be coming to (which is normal for purchasing a puppy so no red flag). The information was provided, I received a response email stating the criteria provided was in line with how they feel comfortable with sending a puppy to live. They then started responding via text messages requesting payment of $500 ($400 for the puppy and $100 for transportation fees). I paid using Zelle and the puppy was going to be shipped on the morning of 19 Nov. I received an email from the shipping company requesting me to pay $1000 - $2000 more for an airline approved crate. I refused to pay. I immediately sent a request for full refund of the $500 (per their website there is a 100% money back guarantee) - they stopped answering texts and phone calls when I accused both the sellers and the shipping company as fraudulent. I've contacted my bank to alert them of the fraudulent exchange of money and requested them to get the money back. I've contact local authorities to report fraud and have requested on multiple time a full refund from Whitney's Dachshunds. The shipping company is going by Atlantic Pet Ways. I do not believe Whitney's Dachshunds actually has any puppies for sale so the website, emails, texts, and phone calls have all been misleading. The website claims full 100% guarantee of money back - this is misleading. When speaking to everyone involved - two gentlemen - neither are native English speakers. The products offered were one male 11 week old dachshund puppy, shipping cost, blanket from litter mates. The shipping was $100 initially then $1000 - $2000 more to get the puppy actually shipped after they had already received full payment for the puppy and shipping charges. When asking Atlantic Pet Ways what airport they were at they said "the one in Dallas" - I requested the actual name of the airport and they could not provide. Whitney's Dachshund's claim to be in Richardson, Texas. The tactics used were offering special shipping charges if full payment was received ASAP - creating a sense of urgency.
