Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
The check never showed up, even though they said they’d give it to me with the title. I kept asking for the check, and they kept delaying it. Finally, after two months, they said they weren’t paying me the $50 and started playing hardball out of nowhere and threatening to retroactively charge me $500 in “miscalculated” taxes on the car and/or send the government after me.
I have a signed contract in writing from them saying they would give me the $50. They don’t care.
