I applied for a job online, about a week later I got an email that I had been shortlisted for an interview for which I should contact a Jasmine Gray on the included link for Skype. After I filled out a questionnaire I was told it would be forwarded over to another department and then about an hour later I was told I had the job. A few things were strange during the process but I chalked a lot of it up to the fact that I’ve never applied and interviewed for a fully remote job before. Then I was told that I would be sent a check with which I would purchase a computer and some other equipment, which is apparently a common scam. Thankfully I hadn’t already given them any bank or private information.
