My daughter called to inquire about a rental home that was listed on rentprogress.com on Saturday 8/28/21. The address is 2725 Deer Glade, Memphis TN. She received a call from someone who said he was the landlord. He said the property was no longer available but referred her to another house. He gave my son the access code to view the home. Everything seemed legitimate to them. Therefore, my son and daughter submitted an application for the house on 2251 Lake Hill Court. To me, there were so many red flags ( no credit check, quick approval, low rent, etc.) ,so I decided to talked to the guy and his so called attorney

but they would not give any personal information and refused to meet in person. Actually the attorney hung up on me, but he continued to call and text my son for the 1000.00 deposit. He asked him to send it via Zelle. . Thank goodness they did not send the money. However,

we're still worried because they have their personal information.

Also, I spoke to a Rep from Rent Progess this morning and she confirmed that it was a scam and said they would investigate.
