Suspected fraudulent money wiring scam from a BoatTrader ad in Minneapolis area (Hopkins. MN). Listed a 2007 Malibu Wakesetter VTX boat for $8900 (too good to be true price for that boat that is supposedly in excellent condition). The boat is supposedly for sale due to a divorce, the seller had a job change and moved to Fargo, ND. Sent an email with photos of the boat telling us that the boat is at the shipping company in Fargo sealed and ready for shipping. She had a contract with Wesco Logistics in Fargo so this deal was to go through them. We would have 5 days from the time we received the boat to inspect it and decide if we wanted to keep it or not. Shipping costs would be at the expense of the seller. Looked online for potential similar scams and found similar complaints of buyers wiring money and then never receiving the product and never received their money back.
