I received an email from Mitchell Banach (his email [email protected]) stating that the paypal invoice that was enclosed I had to pay in the amount of $581.00 for an Google Pixel. I didn't even know what that was. #1) The To: portion of the email wasn't addressed to me, it was addressed to [email protected]. #2) I have not purchased anything recently #3) The phone numbers provided were from the Hawaiian Islands. The following day I received another email, this time it was a reply email with a thread of people that this person apparently sent the identical invoice to & they were furious. He has to be using my email by id spoofing, That has to be the reason all these correspondences are coming to me. One of the people wrote that this individual is using my email on a website. I have changed password, set up 2 step verification, blocked email recipients, spoke with paypal 6 times, yahoo 4 times, called a place that work on computers to remove malicious spyware etc. & the emails keep coming in. The reason I'm not just ignoring this is because in the past year my bank card was hacked through Amazon & I have had to get replacements SO I am concerned that this person has breached enough of my information that identity theft is possible. And I am concerned that in the event that my email address is being used these people will be turning me in for something I didn't do.
