I received two calls, one from someone claiming to be from Interpol and the other one claiming to be an investigator regarding wire transactions through western Union. The caller new my name and who I sent money to. The investigator advised me that there a preliminary hearing at the federal court in nyc on July 28th and there is a lawyer offering free defense to victims of fraud. They said there are three indictments and I need to pay 1500.00 filing fee for each one to have my name removed from the list. I called the law office and spoke to the person the investigator said and this person has also private messaged me which I thought was odd. He gave me wiring instructions and when I went to my bank they said the instructions were incorrect and it was reviewed by risk and they determined it was a scam.
