I got a recorded message saying it was WeEnergies, and that I needed to call 800-778-9102 within 30 minutes to be certain my utilities weren't cut off because of non-payment of my bill. After letting WeEnergies know about the call, I called the number. It was impressive since they apparently recorded the intro you get when you do call the legitimate company. It gave me a choice of extensions to connect to so I went to payment arrangements, That's when I got a foreign accented person who was happy to help. He asked for me account number, and I altered the real one. He still confirmed my name. Must have been off caller ID. Next, he wanted my street address to confirm the account. I told him I didn't see any reason to give that to him since he would have that info. At that point he hung up.
