My husband and I went through a recent layoff that negatively affected our credit, we were able to pay off some debt but needed the accounts removed to increase our credit score to qualify for a home loan. July 30th 2019 we found We Raise Your Credit Score the service cost 2000 for the both of us. Plus 40 each for monthly credit monitoring from Smart Credit. For the first 2 months my credit went undisputed, I had to place a call to the office to inquire why: I was informed, someone was pregnant, someone just had shoulder surgery even though my husbands credit was in fact disputed for the first 2 months. We were informed by the Office Manager that we would see and improvement within 6-8 months. Needless to say 6-8 months, came and went, we saw disputes and a few MINOR deletions here and there. Never was consistent. Calls went unreturned and when we did get staff on the phone this is what occurred, We've been working from home due to covid (which if you were working from home the only change is you are simply AT HOME) we continued to get hospitalization excuses, been out sick for weeks excuses. After a year we realized that maybe we should begin our own credit repair and begin working with the creditors for deletions, but kept We Raise Your Credit Score because we paid them for a service. So after several more months with minimal movement, we are now hearing "we are going to initiate aggressive measures". Their idea of aggressive was to place a credit freeze on Experian, Equifax and Transunion. I'd already had a credit freeze at all 3 bureaus prior to signing up for this service, The only thing a credit freeze does is prevent companies from hard pulling your credit, and I didn't understand why they were telling me this was aggressive. After several months passed, arrangements we made with our creditors our score rose enough for us to qualify for our own home loan, we contacted the owner because before closing the disputes they were initiated by them needed to be removed. Keep in mind we called, without return calls, texted without responses, and when we did get return calls all we got were empty promises they never fulfilled. We contacted the office 3 days prior left contact info, but did not get a return call. So we called the owner and attempted to speak with him asking to remove the disputes and to stop the 40 dollar monthly service deductions. And ended up arguing, getting the phone hung up in our faces, telling us he is on vacation and would have to wait until he returned to the office, was also informed that we had hired the Smart Credit Monitoring service and it had nothing to do with his business, but when I called the number listed 888-276-7696 he was the one who answered the phone. An hour later both my husband and I received emails saying the service was canceled.
