I had just bought a new car and was looking to sell my old one. I knew I couldn't get much or anything for it as a trade in since had over 180K miles on it and it had some scratches and minor dents. These guys sent an unsolicited fax to my office offering to buy cars with cash which I thought would be the easiest way to unload it. Donating it was another option but I thought this way would be quickest. I called We Buy Cars and spoke to David about my car. He asked me to text him some photos which I did and then we agreed on the price. However, once he came to my house to pay for the car he offered a lower price than which we had previously agreed but I just wanted the car gone so I didn't argue and it was still more than a trade in would have gotten me. He left my house to get the cash but did not return with the full amount. I made the mistake of trusting him and taking what he had on the assurance he would give me the rest when he would actually pick up the car the following day. He sent a tow truck to take the car. but not the remaining balance. I have texted and called him for several weeks with no luck only to get his partners Eric and Jimmy to give me all kinds of delays and excuses for not paying me the balance. They won't send it via mail, Venmo, or Zelle. When I asked them what their business address is they told me they don't have one since they are on the road buying cars. Very shady and avoid at all costs. Their number is 973-901-7750
