I was contacted by a woman named Michelle Smith who I believe to be an imposter posing and pretending to be the Lawyers that represent me in my case against the PG&E lawsuit for California wildfires along with thousands of others. I know of one other person who this woman tried to contact besides me, she reached out in the same bizzare out of the blue way.. a Facebook message not announcing who she is but instead just sending a waving hand emoji, and when I responded a month later asking who she was that’s when the messages came pouring in with “a couple questions” regarding my claim. Even with how odd a couple of the red flags that grabbed my attention right away this woman sounded convincing and seemed to be legit. & When I went in to the lawyers to ask about this none of my lawyers ever heard about her and told me she wasn’t associated with them! 20 minutes after leaving their office I was recieving calls from her asking me to confirm if I went in to one of the two offices When I still wouldn’t answer her messages that came pouring in she deleted some of them and eventually stopped. I never answered her or talked to her. This matter is very odd in the case that she had known I had gone into my lawyers office right after the fact, how did she know my location?? I was using a low grade android that leading up to this point I was weary that something could be wrong with it and it was at this point it became very apparent that the device was completely compromised and I haven’t used it since. This is a very hard to believe very extreme story but it really is happening to me this way I would just like for it to be investigated and to have peace of mind that if she’s a scammer she’s been found out and hopefully that would be enough to deter any further pursuing of what she’s trying to find out on my case or anyone else that could be targeted. It seems unlikely this is just a misunderstanding since My lawyers confirmed they didn’t know her at all and warned me not to send her any information as she was absolutely not associated with them in any way, but she referred to the vary lawyer that told me that by their first name in one of her messages as if they had been exchanging info and notes about by case all along, I had tried to look her up doing my own research but couldn’t find her anywhere or anyone by that name having any associations, when I did a reverse phone search it came up registered to a Marsha Montgomery her name that she went by when contacting me was Michelle Smith. She specifically said she worked for Watts Guerra and she is nowhere to be found anywhere nor does any of the firm know where she came from. This matter needs to be investigated and resolved, and brought to attention for the sake of the fire victims that already lost so much! I have attached just a few of the fb messages below there are plenty of messages and voicemails on the phone I was using.
